when luke's IGA closed in july 2011, a dilemma over the resting place of the IGA chair began. initially identified by sharyn kerrigan in the 2009 publicgreen report as an important placemaking opportunity, we conducted a survey via the coolum advertiser newspaper for the new home of the community meeting place. sharyn composed the words and the engraved type design was created.
