These sculptural seats for the front yard of Ray Barber Solicitors office in Heathfield Street Coolum, are intentionally positioned towards the public to provide aesthetic amenity to the community, this is art for all who walk in the vicinity, not just the patron. Taking a cue from the accidental meeting place, this community seat project is for the public to embrace as a place for rest, meeting or exchange.
Designed from folded 10mm aluminium, each seat is a continuous red flowing form that floats with the solid base structure which themselves hover just above the ground.
Dimensions 3m long x 1.4 deep x .8m high.
The seats are constructed from powder coated aluminium, hardwood and stainless steel. 2013
