the big thong

This sculpture and writing project in September 2014 with Coolum State Primary Year 6 linked students with Coolum High in preparation for the move to year7, through the Laneways exhibition. It included the whole class, firstly through construction and then with the stories which were pasted as postcards over the finished piece. The big thong represented every lost thong ever, allowing students to create their own original story about how it the other got lost, the former owner, where it happened etc. The thong linked art to literacy- all for the public to view in the Laneways exhibition.
